Venue Facilities

Camden Civic Centre is owned and operated by Camden Council. The Centre is host to thousands of local, state and national events each year. The venue is incredibly versatile hosting such events as: interviews, meetings and planning days, wedding ceremonies and receptions, Christening and birthday celebrations, civic receptions, church services, school spectaculars and formals, live entertainment and concerts, presentations, conventions and exhibitions. 

The five function rooms are divided over two levels;

Lower Level (Undercroft)

• Mitchell Room (Community Room)
• Oxley Room (Training Room)

Audio/Visual

Use of built in A/V equipment is an exclusive service and must be contracted with the preferred provider.

When using an outside audio visual contractor there is a charge for power use. The contractor is responsible for providing cables of the appropriate length and connections to power sources. All equipment must be run independently of the venues A/V equipment.

Taxis

Camden Wollondilly Cabs service the Camden Local Government Area and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Phone 13 38 34.

Accessibility

Both levels have disabled access and separate toilet facilities. If you are attending a concert wheelchair positions are available and can be arranged on booking. Please discuss your specific requirements with management at the time of booking your tickets.

The carpark has disabled parking provisions and a easy access drop-off point. 

The Macarthur Auditorium and Ferguson Gallery sound system features a hearing loop system enabling the use of special headsets for those with hearing difficulties.

The Macarthur Auditorium has a lifting platform device to enable wheelchair access to the stage. Please inform management in advance if required.   

Cultural Performance Subsidy

Camden Council provides a small amount of funding each year to non-profit organisations to provide musical or performing arts entertainment within the Camden Civic Centre for the community.

The objectives for the program are as follows;

• To increase accessibility to the Civic Centre venue for not for profit community performance groups
• To enhance community awareness and involvement in cultural performances and heighten the profile of community performance groups
• To enhance community wellbeing, sense of belonging through exposure to high quality cultural events and activities that are of interest to key demographic groups. 

A single funding round will be conducted in June each year to attract six high quality cultural performances to be scheduled in the July – June financial year to follow; funding will not exceed $1200 for any event funded.

Any balance of funds will be utilised to fund one off events that meet the criteria outside of the funding round; funding will not exceed $400 for any event funded.
